Effective Date: September 2026
HomeBuyer Experts (“HBE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and preserving your control over what you choose to share. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and the HBE Buyer Journey, how we use it, and how we protect it.
If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].
What Information We Collect
Information You Choose to Provide
The public HBE website can be browsed without completing the Buyer Experience.
Inside the HBE Buyer Journey, you can explore the process before submitting personal information. A Buyer Experience draft may remain temporarily in your browser session so normal Back or Refresh actions do not erase your work. HBE does not intentionally create a buyer record from that draft until you deliberately submit it.
When you deliberately review and send your Buyer Experience to HomeBuyer Experts, you may provide information such as:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your goals, timing, questions, concerns, and home-buying context
- Information about how you prefer to make and understand consequential decisions
We aim to ask for information only when it has a clear buyer-serving purpose.
Buyer Journey Account and Session Information
After a Buyer Experience is submitted, HBE’s secure buyer system may create information needed to provide the BuyerUI, including:
- A buyer record connected to the submitted information
- A current journey stage and completed stages
- Secure session records that allow authorized access from one or more devices
- Notifications indicating that HBE has received a submission
Sensitive document features are intentionally separate from ordinary BuyerUI access and may require additional identity verification when enabled.
Automatically Collected Information
Hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, browser/device information, request timestamps, requested routes, and security/performance information.
The public informational site includes a first-party instrumentation foundation that may record coarse events in the browser session only (for example, that a page was viewed and which high-level channel the visit appears to have come from). Those events stay in memory and session storage until a later gated collector exists; they are not sent to a network analytics product today. They use the page pathname and sanitized campaign tokens only. They do not include names, email addresses, phone numbers, Buyer Experience answers, household identifiers, or Buyer Journey portal behavior. An optional aggregate Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon may be enabled later; it is a separate pageview product, it does not receive these custom events, and it is off by default. We do not use this public-site instrumentation for advertising or cross-site targeting.
We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or sell behavioral data.
How We Use Your Information
Buyer information you choose to submit may be used to:
- Prepare for your Buyer Strategy Session or another requested conversation
- Understand your goals, concerns, priorities, and preferred communication style
- Help HBE provide buyer representation and maintain your Buyer Journey
- Identify relevant questions, tradeoffs, alternatives, and next steps
- Respond to requests you make
- Protect the security and integrity of the buyer system
Our use of buyer information is governed by the same principle as our representation:
What is best for the buyer?
Information should help us serve the buyer; it should not become a tool for manipulating the buyer toward a transaction.
We do not sell or rent your personal information or provide it to third parties for unrelated marketing purposes.
Service Providers and Infrastructure
Cloudflare
The secure HBE Buyer Journey uses Cloudflare infrastructure, including Cloudflare Workers and D1 database services, to deliver the BuyerUI and store submitted buyer-system data. Cloudflare may process technical request and security information as part of operating those services.
The public informational site may optionally use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate, cookie-free pageviews. That beacon is a separate product from the first-party custom events, does not receive those events, and is off unless a site token is configured.
GitHub Pages
The public HBE informational website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log standard server access data as part of normal hosting operations.
Cookies and Sessions
The public informational site may use standard browser technologies needed for functionality. Coarse first-party instrumentation events may be stored in session storage for the visit only, until a later gated collector exists. Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics is a separate pageview product and is off by default; it does not receive those custom events. We do not set advertising cookies on the public site.
The secure Buyer Journey uses a session cookie to keep an authorized buyer signed in. If a buyer deliberately selects a “remember this device” option, that session may persist longer than a normal browser session.
We do not use Buyer Journey session cookies for cross-site advertising or behavioral targeting.
Data Retention
Buyer information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was shared, an active or reasonably anticipated buyer relationship, legal or professional obligations, security, or legitimate recordkeeping needs.
Your Choices
You may contact HBE to request that we:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete information where we are able and permitted to do so
- Explain why particular buyer information is being requested or used
To make a request, contact [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as HBE’s systems and practices evolve. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
